The wines of Emilia-Romagna are told through a training and tasting initiative aimed at local restaurateurs.
The aim of this initiative, conceived and promoted by the Enoteca Regionale dell'Emilia-Romagna, is to train the staff and spread awareness of the high quality of the region's wines and the enormous potential of local wine-growing.
The pilot project started on 15 June 2021 from Faenza, a pretty town in Romagna, a stop-off point for tourism linked to art, ceramics and gastronomy.
15 restaurants in the historic centre took part in the first of three days of tasting and training. At the end of the course, the restaurateurs shall create and include in their menus a dish with regional PDO and/or PGI products. When this dish is purchased, the customer will be offered a free tasting session with 3-4 tastings of wines from Emilia-Romagna, accompanied by an explanation of the pairing and a description of the wines proposed by the restaurant staff.
A proposal aimed at including Emilia-Romagna wines in regional restaurants to promote greater consumer awareness of the area's excellent wines.
